Gerog Gambit is a social deduction game for 6-14 players and one narrator. Players sit in a circle and
are divided into two equal sized teams (Capitalists and Socialists) with secret roles. The goal is to be
the last team standing.
1. The narrator hands out cards with a team alignment and unique role to each player.
2. The game starts with a night phase where players close their eyes. The narrator taps players to "wake
up" and give them role information. The night phase is silent.
3. The day phase follows, where players have private conversations to deduce teammates and plan
strategies. Players can lie or tell the truth.
4. The voting phase begins, with players voting secretly for one other player. The most voted player by
each team is executed. Ties mean no execution. The first executed player from each team must be from the
opposite team.
5. The narrator announces executed players and the next night phase starts.
6. The game continues with alternating night, day, and voting phases until only one team remains.
7. Executed players lose their abilities but can still vote and converse.
This game is a (heavily inspired) creation of Dan Snelling and Micah De Silva. Many thanks to all our playtesters and friends who helped us refine the game.
